ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF CARDIAC AND VASCULAR SURGERY

The Association for the Advancement of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (Stowarzyszenie Rozwoju Kardiochirurgii i Chirurgii Naczyniowej) was established in 2002.

The main objective of the Association is to developcardiac and vascular surgery through:

• promotion of health care;
• supporting cardiology and cardiac surgery institutions, particularly the Lower Silesian Heart Diseases Centre MEDINET in Wrocław;
• providing health care institutions (and in particular the heart disease institutions and rehabilitation units) with medical equipment, instruments and other materials necessary for health care;
• conducting an information and promotional campaign: organizing lectures, discussions, exhibitions, publishing information brochures;
• raising social awareness on the gravity of cardiovascular diseases and the scale of needs for multidirectional specialist health care;
• initiating preventive actions to tackle the causes of cardiovascular diseases;
• granting financial and material aid for patients and  their families, as well as for the health care institutions and entities, in particular the ones treating cardiovascular problems;
• cooperation with other organizations in Poland and abroad;
• training courses for health care employees and other persons interested in the problem of heart diseases.

The Association initiates actions promoting health, during which the visitors can undergo a free cardiac examinationand attend a lecture.

The Association organizes the following annual health events:

• The Heart Day - held in the Botanical Garden in Wrocław,
• The Charity Concert for Children with Congenital Heart Disease in the Aula Leopoldina of the University of Wrocław;
• Painting auctions in the Town Hall of Wrocław;
• Patient's Days.

Our initiatives are aimed to improve the health of the society and meet with recognition of the public entities. We participate in competitions and projects prepared by the public institutions.
Within the Association, the Patient's Club "A Healthy Heart" has been functioning and uniting patients after cardiac surgery since 2009. The Club is chaired by Ryszard Chwaliński.

The Association is a public benefit organization, which allows it to receive 1 % of your income tax for a calendar year. However, the rules of transfer have changed: currently it is necessary to enter in the appropriate field of the PIT form the name of the beneficiary:
Stowarzyszenie Rozwoju Kardiochirurgii i Chirurgii Naczyniowej
and the KRS number: 0000062626.
Having completed the tax settlements, the tax authority will transfer the donated amount to the bank account of the Association.
